Left-back Konstantinos Stafylidis missed training on Wednesday in order to travel to England to finalise the details of his loan move to Stoke City. Now the transfer has been confirmed. The 24-year-old will play in the Premier League until the end of the season. The details of the transfer will remain undisclosed.
“I think that, in order to develop further, I need to get more game-time,” Kostas Stafylidis said. “I didn’t get as many minutes as I hoped I would in the first half of the season unfortunately. Therefore I am excited for the new challenge at Stoke City where I would like to get as much game-time as possible. I think that it will be a good experience for me.”
“We have always said that we don’t want to lose any quality players. But we are sure that minutes at a high level in the Premier League will be helpful for Kosta’s development. Therefore we agreed to this loan deal because we believe it makes sense for everyone involved,” Stefan Reuter, the FCA sporting director said.
