Training Camp: Khedira and Götze to commentate FCA friendly against Royal Antwerp

FC Augsburg’s seventh day at their winter training camp has drawn to a conclusion. Manuel Baum’s side will face Royal Antwerp FC in a friendly on Friday, 11th January (15:00 CET). Ahead of the friendly against the Belgian club, FCA will train on Friday morning. The afternoon’s match can be used for care and regeneration. “We have trained intensively in recent days. We will consequently try to go into this match in the best way possible,” said Baum. The FCA coach is using this afternoon’s friendly to allow much of the squad to rest and get some match time. Jeffrey Gouweleeuw, Sergio Córdova and Felix Götze will not train with the rest of the squad on Friday morning. Instead, they will participate in individual training sessions with the athletics coaches. Khedira and Götze to commentate on our live stream against Antwerp Manuel Baum has indicated that all of the fit players in the squad will receive match time against Royal Antwerp. This will allow the FCA coaching team to see the players in competitive action. Rani Khedira and Felix Götze have been ruled out of the friendly with injury. However, both players will have a special role on Friday. Khedira and Götze will provide commentary for the match live on FCA Fan-TV.
