Following Kevin Danso's contract extension at FC Augsburg, two more players from the youth side have joined him in doing so. FCA have agreed an extension to Tim Rieder's contract, which was due to run out at the end of the season. The new deal for the 23-year-old, who made his professional debut as well as his starting debut this season, will keep him at the club until June 2021. "We have been really pleased with Tim Rieder's development in the last few years but we are convinced that there is still more to come," said FCA chief executive Stefan Reuter. "That is why we want to give him the chance to continue with his development by giving him a long-term contract." "I'm delighted that the club have put their faith in me since I feel really happy here. Continuing my development at FCA was what I wanted, so I am glad that I now have the chance to do that," said Tim Rieder. Marco Richter has also signed his first professional contract with the club. The 19-year-old, who has been part of the FCA youth academy since 2011, has signed a deal until June 2020. "Marco Richter has shown signs of the potential that he has in the A Junior Bundesliga and the Bavarian Regionalliga. We believe he is capable of making the jump to the Bundesliga, so we are delighted that he would like to continue his development at FCA and take this opportunity," said Reuter on Marco Richter. "FCA give young players a chance to personally develop in a fantastic environment. Several youth players have recently been given game time in the Bundesliga. I also want to continue developing here and do what I can to achieve my dream of playing in the Bundesliga," explained Marco Richter.
