October: Finnbogason reaches World Cup
FCA's exceptional 2017 has come to a close. The twelve month have had serious highs, some lows and records broken. Today, we're taking a lookback at FCA's October.
October started with an international break in which Iceland international Alfred Finnbogason qualified for the World Cup with his country. It's the first time Iceland has reached a World Cup finals.
In the Bundesliga, FCA made tracks for Hoffenheim and, despite trailing on two occasions, FCA scored in the dying minutes to take a point back home with them in a 2-2 draw. The draw was unfortunately followed by a setback. In their home tie with newly promoted Hannover 96, FCA conceded two late goals which meant Michael Gregoritsch's early strike counted for nothing in a 2-1 defeat.
