Martin Hinteregger extends at FCA till 2021
Martin Hinteregger has committed his long-term future to FC Augsburg. The Austrian defender signed the extension after celebrating his return to action in FCA's 2-1 victory over VfL Wolfsburg. Hinteregger had previously been out after undergoing an ankle operation. His contract now runs till June 30th 2021. The information was shared by the club's president Klaus Hofmann at the annual general meeting on Monday.
"We're delighted that Martin sees his long-term future with Augsburg," said Stefan Reuter, FCA's sporting director. "His performances and identification with the club led us to take this step."
"Even though my contract with FCA expires in two years, I've always seen my long-term future with this club. I feel very much at home at FCA. This step confirms Augsburg's belief in me and that means a lot," said Hinteregger.
