Kilian Jakob suffers serious injury

Extremely tough news for Kilian Jakob and FC Augsburg. The 20-year-old, who made his Bundesliga debut earlier in the season, suffered a serious injury while playing for the Under-23s in the Regionalliga on Saturday, namely a broken left kneecap. Further testing will be taken over the coming days as well as a necessary operation.“I’m obviously really disappointed,” says Jakob. “But I’m going to stay positive and give my all in my recovery to get through this as quickly as possible.”
