Felix Götze “I’ve got everything I need at Augsburg”

First Team 28.11.2018, 18:35
Felix Götze has arrived in Augsburg. The 20-year-old has already scored his first Bundesliga goal and feels fully at home in his new club. He spoke to the club before the game against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday 1st December (15:30 CET) about his aims and his current condition. The international break did not go completely to plan for Felix Götze. The defensive midfielder wanted to ideally get some more minutes under his belt but unfortunately, only five minutes into the game against Italy, the youngster suffered concussion and had to be taken off. He returned to full training last Sunday but injured his ribs. However, Felix knows how to deal with setbacks: “For me, it is of course frustrating that I have had two injuries back-to-back. However, life is life and I will give my all to get back on the pitch as soon as possible!” He feels fully at home in the team: “I’m having fun here. The team is super and I understand my teammates well. I have everything I need at Augsburg, when you feel good, you play well.” Even though he will miss out the game against Stuttgart, Götze will be fully behind his team. “Our team is fully committed and ready to fight. Everyone knows that playing against us is not pleasant. We know how important the game against Stuttgart is and we definitely want to win.”
