Last weekend in Dortmund, FC Augsburg put on one of the finest displays of the season so far, but unfortunately left empty-handed. A fierce encounter in the Signal Iduna Park ended 4-3 in favour of the league leaders. Despite the result, Manuel Baum is proud of his team’s performance. When asked about his team’s most recent game, Manuel Baum was torn: "We really did play so well. I got a lot of positive feedback, including from several neutrals, and I think we produced a real spectacle for the fans, so I’m proud of the team. Unfortunately, we were not rewarded for our performance – this we need to work on." When asked, how the team will deal with such a narrow defeat, Baum answered: "For us, the situation is as follows: After a game, you can be pleased or sad for one day after. But regardless of whether we’ve won or lost, we move on from the previous game after a day. After that, we concentrate fully on our next opponents." Praise for Hahn and Max Manuel Baum gave some special words of praise for two players in particular: "I am very pleased to have André Hahn in my team. He suits FCA perfectly, through his style of play, but also because of his personality. André stands for all the things that define this club." Philipp Max also made an even bigger name for himself with his performance against Dortmund. Baum had following to say: "Philipp proves himself week in week out. He’s even added an aspect to his game now: scoring goals. He’s already scored twice as many goals as he did last season, which has made him a more complete player."
