Asia Cup: Three wins from three for Koo and Ji

FC Augsburg’s Ja-Cheol Koo and Dong-Won Ji have helped South Korea to an perfect record in the group stage of the Asia Cup. Both FCA players came off the bench as South Korea defeated China 2-0 in their final group stage match. South Korea have won their group and qualified for the quarter-finals. In their final group stage match at the Asia Cup, South Korea secured a 2-0 victory against China. Courtesy of a Ui-Jo Hwan penalty (14’) and a Min-Jae Kim strike (51’), South Korea won their group. Dong-Won Ji came off the bench in the 70th minute while Ja-Cheol Koo came on for the closing moments. Next stop: Quarter-finals South Korea have qualified for the quarter finals and will face a runner up or best third placed team on Tuesday, 22nd January (14:00 CET). The opponents for this fixture will be determined later today.
