Tim Matavz has agreed a summer move to Dutch first division side Vitesse. The 28-year-old striker’s move was agreed on by both clubs for an undisclosed fee.
The Slovenian, who signs a three-year deal with the Dutch club, joined Augsburg in 2014 from PSV Eindhoven, scoring three goals in 34 appearances during 18 months at the club. In Janurary 2016, Matavz moved to FC Genoa on a loan deal, before spending last season on loan at 2. Bundesliga side 1. FC Nürnberg.
“We wish Tim Matavz all the best and hope that he can crack on and rediscover the goalscoring form and level of performances that he showed during his last spell in the Netherlands,” said sporting director Stefan Reuter.
