FC Ausgburg and Swiss First Division side FC St. Gallen have come to an agreement for Albian Ajeti to sign for the club permanently upon the end of his current loan spell. The previous agreement stated that he would return to FCA in the summer, but the new terms see the 20-year old sign a contract with the Swiss club until 30th June 2021. The fee will remain undisclosed.
“I would like to thank FC Augsburg for the trust they showed in my as a young player. I think fondly of my time with the club, which has helped me make major progress, but the time is right for me to take the next step here in Switzerland,” said Ajeti on the transfer.
“Albian Ajeti was unable to get consistent game time in the short term and has found that in St. Gallen he is getting more minutes and is scoring goals. It was his wish to further his development in St. Gallen. We have come to an agreement for that and we wish him all the best for his progress,” said FCA head of sport Stefan Reuter.
